Dr. Federiga Bindi
Federiga Bindi, University of Rome Tor Vergata
Dr. Federiga Bindi holds the Jean Monnet Chair in European Political Integration and is a researcher the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where she also directs the European Office. Bindi is also a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC. In the past she has been teaching at the University of Florence, at Sc.Po. Lille and in a number of US Universities – Italy programs, such as NYU, SUNY-FIT, CSU, Florence University of Arts, John Cabbot, American University of Rome, Florence University of the Arts.
Dr. Bindi holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the European University Institute (Florence). She previously graduated magna cum laude in Comparative Politics from the University of Florence and has been studying also in Paris at the Institut d’Études Politiques and at the University of Oslo, Norway.
She has been a visiting researcher at NUPI, Norwegian Institute for International Affairs (Oslo), at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Institut d’Etudes Européens (Bruxelles), at the Instituto Ciências Sócias, Universidade de Lisboa and at the Universidade Católica de Portugal, both in Lisbon and at Sc.Po.(IEP), Paris. In 2008, she is also a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC.
Dr. Bindi has published widely in Italian, English, Portuguese and Spanish for Oxford University Press, NOMOS Verlagsgesellschaft (Berlino), Le Lettere (Firenze), Marsilio (Venezia), Dortmouth (Londra), Kluwer Law (Londra), Sage (Londra), Garland (New York). She has also written articles for Analise Social, Australasian Journal of European Integration, Europa-Europe, Affari Internazionali, La Società, European Voice. She is currently writing a book about Italy and the European Union for Palgrave.
